Meine Aufnahmen sind entstanden auf langen Reisen durch Argentinien und Lateinamerika, auf der Suche nach dem Besonderen, Einzigartigen dieses Kontinents, manchmal nur diffus wahrnehmbar, oft auch schon für immer verloren.
Im Grunde ist mein Werk ein Versuch, das was ich in unserem geliebten Kontinent sehe und spüre in Bilder zu übersetzen.
Denn wir Fotografen bewegen uns durch die sichtbare Welt immer auf der Suche, nach dem Besonderen eines Ortes, der Seele einer portraitierten Person oder dem Anflug eines Lächelns.
So beschreiben meine Aufnahmen nicht die Schönheit Argentiniens oder Lateinamerikas, sondern suchen das Eigentliche, Unverwechselbare, das Surreale Element, das sich hinter einer Landschaft, einer Gestalt oder einem Gesicht verbirgt.

Acerca de mi trabajo:
Mi trabajo es el fruto de miles de kilómetros recorridos por el territorio argentino, con el objetivo de mostrar algunos rasgos de una identidad nacional, a veces difusa, o a veces perdida. Muchas veces, durante estos viajes, me he preguntado cómo traducir en fotografías los infinitos mundos que pueblan nuestra patria y que he encontrado en el camino.
Pero los fotógrafos caminamos por el universo visible intentando descifrar el alma de un lugar, de una persona, o de una cosa. Es por eso que mis fotografías no pretenden describir la belleza de Argentina. Intentan, en cambio, destacar algunos rasgos de un país todavía inconcluso, pero unido por señales casi intangibles que a veces se esconden detrás de un paisaje y otras veces en un rostro.
Pretendo dar testimonio de esta presencia que vive en cientos de rincones del país, que constituyen nuestra sustancia, y que permanecen para siempre en los ojos y en el corazón de quien alguna vez las vio.

My work:
My work is the result of traveling thousands of miles across Argentina, with the sole object of showing some features of its national identity, sometimes hidden or other times lost. During these journeys I have often asked myself how to translate into photographs the infinite worlds contained within our country and which I have encountered along the way.
But we photographers wander through the visible world trying to find the soul of a place, a person, a thing. That is why my photographs do not attempt to describe only the beauty of Argentina. Instead they emphasise some characteristics of a still unfinished country, united by signs hidden within a landscape or in a face.
I seek to record those presences that could be found in hundreds of places within our country, which make us what we are and will remain forever in the eyes and heart of one who who has seen them.
